  1. According to you,
1, Bank Cashier can keep his son/wife at cash counter?,
2, CBI officers/Secret agent can take their family to investigation?,
3, Doctor can take brother inside operation theater?

    or so on ....

Generally tasks are classified as Public, internal, confidential, Private etc..

Based on the classification type rules will apply,

Internal classification related tasks are accessed to only members not family members,

In simple reason, that is what the crime!

    Now coming to above examples,
    1. Bank cashier should not allow any one into his cabin expect special officer, but he can meet his family members at office,
    2. Secret agents/crime investigation officer can take victims to the place not public
    3. Surgeon can take trainees or another specialist not family members?

  2. @Lakshman - You are talking about rules. I am talking about violations. I know as a journalist, how rules are flouted in banks. Loans were sanctioned even without an application and amounts were disbursed. My feeling is if a head priest of a temple that too a hereditary priest takes his grand son inside the temple may be a fault, but certainly not a punishable crime. Some time back, I witnessed myself, a constable at Tirumala managed to take his family by breaking the line. I do not prescribe to support such acts, but they are becoming order of the day. A rule is a rule rule for all. Then only you can call it as rule. When I was working in Radio Moscow in 80s, even our concerned minister has to present his ID card while entering into his office. Can you imagine this in India?

  3. @Srinivasrao sir,

Dont you the think being the head priest he should be more careful to follow the rules? The position of head priest is not a power its a responsibility and any family who gets that responsibility once has to wait for 16 years to get another chance. In such a scenario, why is the head priest so callous about rules? Every custom and tradition in the temple have so much of history and was followed by different stake holders to ensure smooth functioning. So any disregard towards the rule should be dealt with strictest possible action to prevent such acts in future.

  4. @karthi - I never said being head priest, he is above rules. What I want to say is he is also a human being and some sort of human weakness prompted him to take his kid into sanctum sanctorum. Other allegations of using his position to please big shots in the society etc may be probed. But not this.
